How we score consents for diggers
Same rules every month. You can check them against the public PDF.
High match
We include a row when the public text clearly points to dirt or access works, for example:
- earthworks, excavation, or fill named
- right of way, roadway, or driveway with works implied
- multi-lot subdivision that names internal roads or rights of way
Medium match
Multi-lot subdivision without the earthworks word on the monthly line. That is a strong civil signal. Verify volumes from the decision docs before you treat it as confirmed earthworks.
Also drain-relevant (paid digests)
Excavator and drain laying often travel together. When a scored consent also mentions trench, effluent, or stormwater work, the paid digest adds a short tag: Also drain-relevant.
The digger list stays primary. The tag helps crews that dig and drain on the same jobs.
Out
We skip pure paper and buildings-only rows with no dirt signal, for example:
- easement cancellation, time extension, utility condition-only
- dwelling design or height variations with no earthworks
- boundary adjustments and similar paper changes

- August 2026: 7 scored from 20 grants

Real Kaipara District Council Recently Granted Resource Consents months, same scoring rules. Volume varies month to month. Thin months get credited.
If a calendar month has zero earthworks-relevant leads under these rules, that month is free (credit on the next invoice).
